With the final purchase of 2,500 acres, Five Valleys Land Trust has not only preserved the majority of Mount Dean Stone for future generations, but it also created only the fourth community forest in the state.
Conservationists are amassing to oppose a Legislative bill that would go against voters’ wishes and permanently cut marijuana tax money out of Montana’s popular habitat acquisition program.
The Mount Dean Stone Community Forest will include the House of Sky Trail, which runs along the mountain's ridgeline and down into the West Fork of Deep Creek.
