Spanning over 65,000 hectares in Victoria’s central west.
Victoria is getting three new national parks spanning more than 65,000 hectares in Victoria’s central west, with the state government moving to preserve the unique environments of three fertile regions.
In order to do so, the Victorian government will look to link up existing state forests, parks and reserves. The largest of which will see Lerderderg State Forest connected with the Wombat State Forest, creating a new national park of than 44,000 hectares between Daylesford and Bacchus Marsh.
