Memorial Day: Covington honors sacrifice and freedom

Neighbors in Covington are spending a full day honoring the military members who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. The day began at 7 a.m. with a series of Honor Guard salutes at local military memorial sites. The parade is scheduled for the afternoon.

SHARE COVINGTON, Ky. Nine hours of activity on Monday honored fallen veterans as part of Covington’s annual Memorial Day services. The day kicked off at 7 a.m. with a series of Honor Guard salutes at local military memorial sites, continued with a parade, and ended with the City’s 100th Memorial Day Service at Historic Linden Grove Cemetery and Arboretum.
