Mahao sells his vision

MASERU – THE party is new but the promises are old. This was the message sent to residents of Koro-Koro last Sunday as former All Basotho Convention (ABC) deputy leader, Professor Nqosa Mahao, officially unveiled his Basotho Action Party (BAP). Professor Mahao defected from the ABC last month. He had been part of the coalition government as justice minister having played a pivotal role in ousting former Prime Minister Thomas Thabane last year. He didn’t stay long in the government before a fall-out that saw him and a few allies breaking out and forming the BAP. Thousands of people attended the launch rally held at a football ground near St Joseph’s RC Mission, eager to hear the promises of the new party.
