Till date, 124 peacekeepers from Bangladesh Army made supreme sacrifice and 222 peacekeepers have sustained injury for the cause of global peace in different UN Missions. Reputation, expertise, capability and excellence earned through long experience in peacekeeping operations, drives Bangladesh Army to remain ever ready to deploy contingents of different types as per the requirements of the UN in a minimum possible time. Currently, under the United Nations Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System, 16 contingents of the Bangladesh Army are phased out to replace the old units and in some cases are ready for new deployments, which is otherwise the highest among troops contributing countries.

Bangladesh Army chief General Aziz Ahmed on Tuesday said the recent report of Al Jazeera is completely ill-motivated.
‘When I visited my brother in Malaysia he was no longer an accused in any case, and he was earlier acquitted from a conspiracy case. He got acquittal in March and I met him in April. The Al Jazeera report is fully ill-intended,’ he said.
The Army chief came up with the remark while talking to reporters after a programme of Army Aviation Group in the city’s Tejgaon area on Tuesday.

Bangladeshi electronics brand Walton is going to start its distributor business in the European market through starting export of LED televisions under its own brand to Romania.
The local multinational electronics brand arranged a programme titled ‘1st Walton Television Brand Business in Romania’ on a virtual platform held at the Walton Corporate Office in Dhaka on February 14, said a press release on Monday.

WHY would I say such an outrageous, treasonous, delusional, obviously-funded-by-Putin thing? Am I hoping to enrage war-crazed sadists who’ve seen too much television ‘news’?
