The health department reported 109 new cases of COVID-19 in Vermont on Monday. The cumulative total reported is 9,078, which is 111 higher than the total reported Sunday. The health department did not explain the discrepancy.
Eleven of Vermontâs 14 counties reported at least one new case since Sunday. Chittenden County had 30, Lamoille County had 18; Bennington and Windsor counties each had 12; Addison County had 10; Rutland County had nine; Windham County had eight; Orange County had five; Caledonia and Franklin counties each had two; and Essex County had one. Grand Isle, Orleans and Washington counties had no new cases.
No Vermonters died of COVID-19 over the past two days, the health department reported. The death toll stands at 156.
