Pacific Gas & Electric Co. faces a second lawsuit in connection with a wildfire that destroyed homes and forced thousands in Placer and El Dorado counties to evacuate.
Federal officials have taken possession of a Pacific Gas and Electric Co. utility transmission pole and attached equipment as part of an investigation into what caused the Mosquito Fire.
The most active part of the fire is burning north and northeast in Placer County, triggering more evacuations. The fire is also burning in El Dorado County.
Over 40 years in business, serving the rural Foresthill community of Placer County, Worton’s Market, a family-owned and operated grocery store decided to open its doors to the thousands of first responders fighting the Mosquito Fire.
