On this date in late august, our law school welcomed its new class of students of 371 students, plus about 35 international students. They were all enthralled with americans across the country with an external event. That was the day of the totality, the day of the eclipse, and people across the United States and our students and faculty gazed up from, with their safety glasses i hope, and it was as if nature itself was conspiring to bring us together if only for a few hours. But that sense of unity and wonder while pleading was very welcomed from the tumultuous events that continue to roil this country.
