Dog Friendly Hotel Open in Downtown Grand Rapids For those that travel with their dog, there is now a dog friendly hotel in downtown Grand Rapids. The newly refurbished Morton Hotel is located on the top three floors of the Morton building, which is located at the corner of Monroe Center and Ionia Avenue NW. Twenty-five former apartments have been turned into extended stay hotel rooms complete a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and flat screen TVs. The hotel also caters to their canine visitors with things like elevated dog beds, pet food bowls, a dog mat, and a complimentary dog waste bags, which can be used in the hotel’s dog relief and play area located in the basement. The hotel also features a dog wash station.

Extended-stay, dog-friendly hotel to open in Grand Rapids Updated Mar 08, 2021; Facebook Share GRAND RAPIDS, MI The Morton Hotel, an extended-stay, dog-friendly hotel in downtown Grand Rapids, is scheduled to open March 15. The 25-room hotel is located inside the nearly century old, 13-story Morton building at the corner of Ionia Avenue NW and Monroe Center. It includes a range of room-styles, from studios to penthouses, each of which includes long-term stay accommodations such as kitchens, washers and dryers. AHC Hospitality announces the promotion of Ross Bartlett to regional general manager of the historic Amway Grand Plaza, Curio Collection by Hilton in downtown Grand Rapids Hotel District. Most recently serving as the assistant general manager at the historic hotel, Bartlett will continue to provide day-to-day leadership for the property in his expanded role, as well as lead AHC s newest project, the city s extended-stay, pet-friendly Morton Hotel, and oversee the security and parking departments for AHC Hospitality. Ross began his tenure with AHC Hospitality in January 2016 as the director of rooms for the Amway Grand Plaza and was promoted to assistant general manager in early 2019 to support overall hotel operations.
