The Calera Eagles went down to the wire with the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils on Wednesday, April 3 at Mortimer Jordan High School, but in the end, a two-run seventh inning for the Eagles gave them a 6-4 win on the road.
Chase Payne, 18, of Warrior, is a senior at Mortimer Jordan High School and was committed to BSC on a football scholarship. He's now looking for a new school to play at after BSC announced it will close May 31, 2024.
