Memories: Franklin Square
A very busy Franklin Square, in the 1950s, before the malls were built. Looking west, with the Wauregan Hotel on the extreme left. Moving right is H.L. Green, a hosiery store, Morse Shoes, Kay Jewelers, Beverly Tea Room, and Franklin Hardware in the Thayer Building. Across the street is Woolworth’s 5 & Dime and Beit Brothers food store. On the right is a Sealtest Ice Cream refrigerated truck.
