CT Red Zone Map: State Sees Sharp Decline In Cases

Reply(1) (Patch graphic/DataWrapper) CONNECTICUT Connecticut saw encouraging drops recently in its per capita infection and positive test rates recently, though the state still remains mostly in the red zone for infections with 163 of 169 towns falling into the state s highest rate category. Towns fall into the red zone when their daily cases exceed 15 per 100,000 population over a two-week average. Connecticut s per capita infection rate still remains high at 53.5 daily coronavirus cases per 100,000 population between Jan. 10 and 23, but it was a 20 percent decline from the previous two-week reporting period. The rate is about where the state was in late December. Subscribe
