Mobile crisis initiative can’t find staffing

LEBANON A long-anticipated program to offer in-person support to people experiencing mental health and substance use crises in New Hampshire is within reach, but difficulties finding workers is causing delays in its full rollout.
Through state contracts that went into effect at the beginning of July, New Hampshire’s 10 community mental health centers now have funding to operate mobile crisis teams to respond in-person to people in crisis, but they don’t yet have the staff to make those visits, said Bill Metcalfe, director of the Lebanon-based West Central Behavioral Health’s mobile crisis services.

One man seized control of plane from another just before New Hampshire crash
A preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board says a small plane that crashed, killing one man and injuring a Maine man, descended into a power line.

CHARLESTOWN, N.H. A small plane that crashed in New Hampshire, killing one man and injuring another, was flying low and descended into a power line after one of the men seized control of the aircraft from the other, according to a preliminary report released Wednesday by the National Transportation Safety Board.
The men were flying in a Bailey Dragonfly, a single-engine, ultralight plane often used to tow gliders, on July 10. The plane crashed in Morningside Flight Park in Charlestown. The report said the pilot survived and that the other man, a pilot-rated passenger, died.
