North Alabama capital murder suspect tracked through surveillance cameras

One capital murder suspect was in jail and another remained at large Saturday after Decatur police used surveillance cameras and an anonymous tip in their effort to solve a crime.
Mashaud Tyliek Lewis, 21, is in the Morgan County Jail without bond, charged in last Sunday’s shooting death of 59-year-old Chester Jordan of Decatur. A capital murder arrest warrant was outstanding for Antone Lamar Yarbrough, 27. Both defendants are from Decatur.
Police requested help from the public Friday in locating Yarbrough, but warned that he is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
WEST LIBERTY A West Liberty man has been charged by Kentucky State Police with multiple sex crimes.
Gary Lewis, 48, was charged Saturday with first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy and second- and third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
The Rowan County Detention Center lists Lewisâ bond at $1 million.
Lewis was scheduled for arraignment in Morgan County District Court on Tuesday.

An 8-month-old girl who police say was murdered and sexually tortured by a Decatur man had genital bruising that came from penetration, according to a police affidavit filed in court Wednesday.
The girl, born June 1, also had welts on her neck, bruising on her face, shoulder and legs and a bite mark on her arm, police said.

DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) - New details were released to the public Wednesday from the investigation of the death of an 8-month-old Decatur girl.
