Fukuoka-based Aeon Introduces Price Scanning Shopping
Aeon Kyushu announced the introduction of a cashier-less shopping system at one of its supermarkets in Fukuoka. On July 28, shoppers at Aeon Hara Shop in Sawara Ward can use an application to calculate their purchasing prices while selecting items. Customers scan barcodes as they put things in the trolley, and the data is forwarded to a checkout device for payment. The system, called ‘Dokodemo Reji Reji-Go,’ will be introduced at more shops in the future.
