I’ve never felt personally inspired by The Bushwhackers before… and yet, here we are.
While recently rating the cousins Luke and Butch as a unit, I mentioned how I would theoretically dig them if they were an act today. And I confessed how great I thought their finishing move, The Battering Ram, was.
Inspiration was struck, and I was determined to make a list counting down some of the best tag team finishing moves in wrestling history! If I were to make such a list, would The Battering Ram place?
Tag Team wrestling… is what it is in the current environment. AEW showcases it. NJPW loves multi-man matches, to the point where strict two-on-two encounters get overshadowed a bit. Kenny Omega, Impact Player: AEW Dynamite Recap and Review 14-minute read AEW
Winter Is Coming, last week’s MEGA Dynamite that featured not just the beginning of one of the most ambitious angles in wrestling history, but the launch of an AEW/Impact Wrestling crossover that may end up involving AAA, NJPW, DDT, FMW, and any number of other companies by the time it’s finished, ended on Don Callis’ now-famous “see you Tuesday,” an invitation for the world to follow him and Kenny Omega 600 miles north to Nashville, Tennessee, to a different television network, a different wrestling promotion, and an entirely different world.
There will be fallout from Kenny Omega s World title win and subsequent appearance on Impact Wrestling on tonight s packed edition of AEW Dynamite.
Omega won the AEW World Championship with the help of Impact Executive Vice President Don Callis last week. Omega then appeared on Impact Wrestling last night, as did AEW President Tony Khan and announcer Tony Schiavone by way of a paid ad.
Khan invited Callis and Omega to Dynamite today and it appears the next phase of the interpromotional angle will take place.
The Dynamite Diamond Ring winner will be decided tonight. After advancing to the final by being the surviving participants in last week s battle royale, MJF will take on Orange Cassidy for the ring. MJF won the ring in 2019 and will look to keep possession of it.
