The death took place on Sunday, January 24 of Breda McGrath of Clonmeen, Errill.
Peacefully in the tender care of the nurses and staff of Patterson s Nursing Home, Roscrea. Sadly mourned by her sisters Nellie (Bannon), Nan (O Keefe) and Angela Campion, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
As per the COVID 19 Directive a private funeral has been arranged. Due to the increased risk of infection and in the interest of public safety and in compliance with current guidelines, you are asked not to attend the funeral or congregate in the Church yard or the Cemetery.

The death took place on Sunday, January 10 of Joseph O Shea of 20 O`Moore Place, Portlaoise.
Beloved father of Tanya, Tírna, Taylor, and Jake. Predeceased by his son Jamie-Lee. Deeply regretted by his loving family, mother Margaret, father William, grandaughter Kyra-Mae, brothers Paul, William, John and Patrick, sister Caroline, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.
Due to current government guidelines a private family funeral will take place. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon in SS Peter & Paul s Church. Interment afterwards in SS Peter & Paul s Cemetery. Mass can be viewed on the parish website.
€5 million for former Bord na Mona staff to insulate Laois houses

Laois council houses are to be given €5 million worth of energy upgrades installed by former Bord na Móna employees in the next three years.
The state granted money has been allocated for Laois under the Just Transition fund.
The fund is paying to retrain the semi state company’s Midlands workers to work in greener industries, as peat production is ending due to its environmental impact.
Another €300,000 will be spent upgrading Laois council homes under a separate Energy Efficiency programme, also fully paid by the state.
