David Raymond Bishop, 79, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada, following a brief illness. David was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Nevada, to Durward Divine and Velma Addie (Tennison) Bishop. On May 3, 1968, he was united in marriage to Sue Mease in Lebanon, Mo., and she survives of the home.
David was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1960. He attended Drury College in Springfield for two years before joining the United States Navy in 1962. David served during the Vietnam Conflict as an electrician stationed in Subic Bay, Philippines, and later aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. Following his honorable discharge in 1966, David served an additional two years in the U.S .Naval Reserves. Upon his return to Missouri, he moved to Springfield and worked at Millers Mutual Insurance in Springfield for several years then began employment at AVCO Finance in Springfield. Anna Mae Jones, 79, Nevada, Mo., died on Sunday, April 4, 2021, at Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada. Anna was born June 20, 1941, in Berryville, Ark., to Claude A. and Lucy M. (Mitchell) Boyd.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 9, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
Those in attendance will be asked to maintain social distancing and are asked to wear face masks to protect themselves and others.

Vada Ardith (Hartline) Spencer, 85, Nevada, Mo., passed from this life on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at Nevada Regional Medical Center.
Ardith was the only child of Marion William and Velma Dorris (Reynolds) Hartline, born Dec. 31, 1935, in Walker, Mo. She attended both grade and high school at Walker, graduating in 1953. Following marriage, she lived on an acreage northwest of Walker where the couple farmed for 10 years. They moved into Nevada in 1963 and were divorced in 1973.
Ardith made her public statement of faith in a revival meeting at Walker Christian Church at the age of twelve and was baptized in Melton Creek near Walker by Pastor Wood. In Nevada, she transferred her membership to the Community Christian Church and served in various positions for 30 years. At her death she was a member of First Baptist Church, Nevada, joining membership there in 2003 where she continued to help and support the church.
