One of the most visible figures in Wednesday s riot on the Capitol has been arrested and charged by authorities.
Jacob Anthony Chansley, also known as Jake Angeli, will face several charges including disorderly conduct and violent entry, according to reports.
After his arrest, the federal attorney for Washington, D.C., released a statement identifying Chansley as the man with his face painted, who was wearing a horned headdress inside of the Capitol building.
“It is alleged that Chansley was identified as the man seen in media coverage who entered the Capitol building dressed in horns, a bearskin headdress, red, white and blue face paint, shirtless, and tan pants,” the statement read.
