Mayor Wu’s administration is looking to hire a project manager for the long-stalled replacement of the Long Island Bridge connecting Boston to a 35-acre recovery campus that’s gone unused since 2014.
Mayor Wu describes the decision as a "major" step forward for the plan to rebuild the Long Island Bridge and reopen a recovery center on the harbor island.
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said the city has received a critical license from the state, allowing it to “truly begin” the work of rebuilding a bridge to Long Island, to connect the region to a future addiction-recovery campus.
