5 Montreal fast food restaurants were hit with huge health inspection fines from the MAPAQ

The Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation au Quebec (MAPAQ) has hit a handful of Montreal fast food restaurants with hefty health inspection fines. The MAPAQ determined many of the restaurants were not operating following its health and safety standards, many of which were fined for improper food temperatures and storage, premise cleanliness and staff hygiene issues.

Several Montreal restaurants, bars and cafés across the city have been hit with inspection fines by the Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation Quebec (MAPAQ) for health and safety risks to consumers including issues with sanitation, hygiene, food quality and preparation. Following an inspection at a popular Tim Hortons location in Montreal, the MAPAQ has fined the Montreal establishment $4,500 for failing to meet the MAPAQ inspection team's quality control.
