From the creators of YATAI MTL comes the third annual Japan Week culture and food festival, which brings together more than 30 local businesses to invite Montrealers "to discover and enjoy Japan, without leaving their city."
Japan Week and YATAI Montreal kick off the week of June 6. The weeklong festivities and promotions are a celebration of local Japanese culture, food, businesses and artists, culminating in the opening of a Japanese street food, goods and crafts market in Montreal's Mile End neighbourhood.Between June 6 and 12, Japan Week will highlight Montreal-area Japanese restaurants, businesses and products. A total of 35 participating eateries and shops in Montreal and on the South Shore are showcasing their best dishes and products.
YATAI MTL and Japan Week are coming back to Montreal. The festivals, a celebration of Japanese culture, will showcase products and dishes from local businesses. There will even be a street food market.During Japan Week, June 6 to 12, restaurants and stores across the Montreal area will present a "special Japanese street food menu and a diverse offering of Japanese products," according to a press release. Participating restaurants will offer items as diverse as karaage, ramen, gyoza, BBQ, takoyaki, corndogs, sour plum beer, Japanese cheesecakes, mochi, doroyaki, matcha ice cream, and bubble tea.
