If there was ever an excuse for a pasta crawl, this is it. Montreal Pasta Fest starts May 11. 19 restaurants on the island, North and South Shores have created special pasta dishes for the occasion. Organizers have billed the fest as "the largest celebration of pastas in the greater Montreal area." The goal is to showcase local pasta-makers and give Montrealers an opportunity to discover area Italian restaurants.
Montreal summer is back in a big way. La Guinguette du Sud-Ouest, a pop-up bar and event space that drew throngs of Montrealers to the banks of the Lachine Canal in the summer of 2021, is coming back this year with an area three times larger than its previous edition.

The city has outlined a series of commitments for the year 2022 to combat discrimination and racism in Montreal. The 12 commitments, the city says, are "inspired" by 38 recommendations produced by the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM) in 2020.
