Developers caution that the work to renovate and reawaken the historic complex could take two years or more. But in its first few days the project had altered the course of a lawsuit against the city and turned Grove Court into a source of optimism about the area’s future. The sprawling, 81-unit complex at 559 S. Court St. made a splash when it debuted in the 1940s as the area’s first major post-war structure influenced by modern architectural trends of the time. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
