“We want to give opportunities to kids who may have not thought that college was going to be for them. We want them to have this opportunity as well,” the district’s superintendent PK Diffenbaugh said. “That’s what really inspired it. We really want to open doors for kids to see themselves going to college and fitting in (at) college and this offers that opportunity.”
Colgate’s Bright Smiles, Bright Futures program was established in 1991 and has reached more than 1.6 million children in more than 100 countries. The program educates students about oral health, provides free dental screenings and refers students for treatment.
