Updated: 12:57 PM PDT Jul 20, 2021 Chris Hagel The Carmel Unified School district announced they will be welcoming back students for full, in-person learning on Monday, Aug. 9. According to the new district superintendent, Ted Knight, they will be following the COVID-19 guidance put forward by the California Department of Public Health. The district laid out its mask policy: Masks are required for all students when indoors and for adults when students are present. When outdoors, masks will be optional for everyone. Masks will also be required on school buses.
