Pic: Brioni Luxury brand Brioni has revealed its new industrial plan for the period of 2021 to 2025 that involves laying off 320 people across its production lines. The decision comes in the wake of the pandemic and changing consumer behaviour due to the lockdowns. The plan was presented at a meeting held inside the Italian Ministry for Economic Development.
Presented to the representatives of the Ministry of Labour, trade unions and the regions of Lombardy and Abruzzo, the plan outlines the restructuring of its three production sites in Abruzzo to rationalise the costs while maintaining its production standards. The brand employs over 1,000 people in its Penne, Montebello di Bertona and Civitella Casanova workshops in this region.
