My Turn: Time for a change on the Montague Board of Health

What can I bring to the Board of Health in Montague? Thirty-five years of experience working in our local communities, and an understanding of the strengths and limitations of our community services and our healthcare system.
As a nurse, I have experience in resource utilization, education, community resources, public health, community nursing, advocacy, legislative awareness, along with understanding the human condition. The pandemic showed a need for strong public health.
Numerous Montague residents, have told me that when they were isolated or quarantined they did not have contact with anyone local. They did receive updates, were not able to talk to someone who understood their needs, or what is available here. Some left isolation, knowing that they shouldn’t, to get groceries or medications.
