When You Can Learn About the 3.0 Patch and More

Capcom has announced the next
Monster Hunter Digital Event. This is one of several that the company has hosted in the past couple of months, with the previous one taking place in April. As has been the case in the past couple of events, we can expect to hear the developers discuss Monster Hunter: Rise’s continued post-launch support and Monster Hunter Stories 2.
Capcom has confirmed that the event will take place on May 26th. The event will be streamed on their Twitch channel. The team confirmed that they would be discussing the upcoming 3.0 update for Monster Hunter Rise in the announcement. As was the case with the 2.0 update, the first major addition since the game’s launch, 3.0 will expand the game’s story and add several new hunts for players to participate in. The 2.0 patch added Chameleos, Kushala Deora and Teostra, alongside some apex versions of creatures providing more challenging hunts than their standard
The sequel to the 3DS RPG lands in a few short months.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will release in July according to today’s Monster Hunter Digital Event, and we got to see a bit more of the upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive (such as the new co-op feature).
Monster Hunter Stories 2 releases July 9th, 2021.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin takes place after the first game, and this time around the protagonist has been entrusted with a young Razewing Ratha (a Rathalos with dark-tipped wings). Naturally, there’s a prophecy concerning the young creature – one of fire, death, and the titular ruin – so it’s up to him and his companions Ena and Navirou to protect the “little” guy.
