Monson town administrator hired as Grafton’s next top administrator

GRAFTON After spending three hours interviewing the three finalists for the town administrator’s post, it only took the select board a matter of minutes to unanimously vote to offer the job to current Monson Town Administrator Evan P. Brassard.
Brassard, 40, of Monson, was chosen over finalists Joshua A. Garcia, town administrator in Blandford, and Ari J. Sky, chief financial officer in New Bedford.
The board will meet next week in executive session to review the contents of the contract before select board chair Peter Carlson enters into negotiations with Brassard. The budgeted annual salary for the new town administrator is $160,000.

Ari J. Sky has been chosen as one of three finalists for the Grafton town administrator position, and was selected from an initial pool of 33 applicants, according to the local Grafton News. Sky, who holds a bachelor s degree in politics and history from Brandeis University and a Master of Public Administration from The American University, has served as New Bedford s CFO since 2013.
