Norfolk Police Department and the Virginia State Police are currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that killed a man early Tuesday morning.
Police have not released the man's name but family members identified him as 41-year-old Antonio “A.J.” Beekman of Norfolk. Police said they were attempting to arrest the man on multiple felony charges when he began shooting. Four officers returned fire and fatally shot him.
