Ukrainian authorities fine Google subsidiary 1 mln hryvni
KYIV. April 5 (Interfax) - The Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine has imposed a fine of one million hryvni on Google LLC (99% owned by Google International LLC, U.S.) for failure to provide information within a set timeframe at the request of the authorized government representative of Ukraine s Anti-Monopoly Committee.
Today s official exchange rate is 1 hryvnia/$0,036.
The committee s temporary administrative board adopted this decision at its meeting on April 2, according to a report published on the committee s website. The size of the fine is due to aggravating circumstances, i.e. the fact that Google LLC has not provided the committee with the information requested by it for more than a year, it said.
