Lesser amounts are predicted around the Jersey Shore. Significant flooding and strong winds could batter the New Jersey coast over the next few days as a prolonged nor’easter rolls into the area, now expected to dump the heaviest amounts of snow in the central and northern portions of the state through Tuesday. Light snow already started to dust western Monmouth County around 11 a.m. today. and had moved to the coast before 1 p.m. The wintry precipitation was already starting to stick.

Covid-19 cases continue to spike at uncomfortable rates but as the state continues to receive more doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines more people are able to receive that vaccination bringing us one day closer to an end of the pandemic, that is still a ways off. As Covid-19 coronavirus cases are going up and vaccines being distributed in the first round, via Phase 1A, there is now an increase in the amount of testing days and hours as well as Monmouth County Commissioners adding a mobile vaccination unit for first responders. “With the help of the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, the County plans to inoculate four days per week, with sites in four towns,” Monmouth County Commissioner Director Tom Arnone said at a press conference on Tuesday. “There will be 50 vaccines administered, strictly by appointment only, at each site.
