Mardi Gras 2021 was the glitter-fuelled explosion we all know and love. The celebration had even more meaning to the Sydney Queer Irish group this year who marched and raised their flags of colour representing Pride, Strength and Unity.
There is nothing like a global pandemic to make the 17,000km back to Ireland feel far away. What was once a straightforward 24-hour hop across the planet is now an insurmountable border wall.
