Florida has reported the first case of monkey of a children 4 years old or younger in Martin County. In all 1,266 infections have been reported statewide.
While the majority are in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, the first positive monkeypox case in a child under the age of 4 was confirmed in Martin County.
"You see some of these states declaring states of emergency. They are going to abuse those emergency powers to restrict your freedom. I guarantee you that's what will happen," DeSantis said.
