This Bensonhurst store looks like any other business in the neighborhood. But to Turkish immigrant Baris Avci, it’s an American dream coming true.
“We are very proud because it’s a big thing for me in different country to do something like that, said Avci.
Avci opened his King Fruit Vegetable and Grocery Store two weeks ago.
It’s a journey that started six years ago when he emigrated here from Turkey. He first worked for a fruit stand in Manhattan.
“I saw it’s not difficult job we can do that too. We can have our own business we don’t have to work for somebody else, he said.
