A teacher accused of repeated sex with a 14-year-old student has pleaded not guilty to 12 charges and has tapped a high-powered lawyer to represent her at trial.
Monica Elizabeth Young, 23, appeared in front of a NSW District Court judge supported by her grandmother Dawn on Monday
She was there to face allegations including that she repeatedly had sex with a male student at her school, 14, and sent a picture via Snapchat of her genitalia to him.

The 23-year-old s case will be arraigned for trial in the District Court on January 29, NCA Newswire reported.
Ms Young was arrested at her home in Sydney s south-west on July 10 last year.

Police will allege CCTV caught Ms Young touching her teenage student s groin at a fast food chain.
She also allegedly exchanged explicit images on social media and told the boy I m waiting for you on Snapchat alongside an image of her lying in bed.
Court documents alleged the offending occurred between June 24 and July 6, 2020.
Justice Stephen Campbell granted Ms Young bail at the New South Wales Supreme Court on August 13.
