Two days after an Amazon delivery driver was bitten by a rattlesnake in Palm City, the deputy who killed that snake said he wishes he didn’t have to do it.
On Tuesday, 21-year-old Monet Robinson was delivering packages in the Highlands Reserve Community in Palm City. Martin County deputies said when she was placing a package on the ground, an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake attacked and bit her.
"The worst thing you can do is get excited or walk fast or run. Then, the blood circulates faster, and the venom gets distributed to your body faster," Dr. Robert Borego, trauma medical director at St. Mary's Medical Center, told WPBF 25 News.
