On Monday Hewitt told the jury she’d seen Rowe with blood coming from his head while outside her Ashhurst house the night Wilkinson was allegedly killed. Wilkinson was at the house and when men arrived he went outside with Rowe, telling Hewitt to stay inside, she had said. Signal’s lawyer Charl Hirschfeld questioned Hewitt’s memory of the night, saying she was stressed and unable to accurately recall everything. She disagreed. “I was focusing on my child and everything, really. You can’t just focus on one thing when you’re in a situation like that. “In the back of my mind I’m worried about my child.”
