March was the second-best month in history for home sales in Greater Moncton according to the latest numbers.
Greater Moncton Realtors president Ryan Davison says a low inventory of homes had been an issue but that is now changing.
“Keep in mind that we’re looking at stats comparing March of 2020 when we did get shut down for a couple of weeks. Statistically, I believe the number of listings is up almost 99 percent.”
Davison says the Greater Moncton market is firing on all cylinders as we enter spring with more people putting their homes up for sale.
Big, bigger, biggest: Saint John, Fredericton jostle for position as sizzling Moncton holds top spot
It was New Brunswick s largest urban centre as recently as 2003, but Greater Saint John is now 17 per cent smaller than greater Moncton and losing ground to Fredericton for the No. 2 spot, according to new population estimates from Statistics Canada.
