The suspect wanted for a shooting that occurred in Downtown Port Huron in November has been arrested and arraigned on multiple charges. According to the Port Huron Police Department, 30 year old Marcel Lamar Woods from Clinton Township was arraigned Wednesday in St. Clair County District Court on charges stemming from the November 14th shooting in the East Quay Street parking lot. Charges include assault with intent to murder, discharging a firearm at a building and vehicle, and possession of a weapon by a felon, among others. He sustained a gunshot wound the night of the shooting, believed to have been fired by a 23 year Port Huron man who was legally armed and appears to have acted in self-defense. Woods' bond h as been set at $1 million and is due back in court in front of Judge Mona Armstrong December 14th for a Probable Cause Conference.

A 27-year-old Port Huron man was arraigned Tuesday after the body of a 28-year-old Port Huron woman was found at the scene of a structure fire Saturday morning.
Dustin Tucker is charged with open murder, second-degree arson and unlawful imprisonment.
He is being held without bond. Tucker faces up to life in prison if convicted of open murder.
Second-degree arson has a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine or three times the value of property damaged or destroyed. The charge of unlawful imprisonment carries a maximum sentence of 15 years and a $20,000 fine.
Port Huron police officers initially responded to the 1800 block of Division Street at 8:16 a.m. Saturday, along with the Port Huron Fire Department on a fire investigation. The caller indicated smoke in the house and a body.
