Learning through writing letters

Learning through writing letters By Kim Sun-ae Some time ago, I decided I wanted to exchange letters with a pen pal, and luckily, before long, I was able to exchange snail mail letters with a person from the Netherlands. She wrote that exchanging letters is like traveling, because we can learn many interesting things from people around the world. I agree with her. For the past few years, we have learned different things about each of our cultures through letters, broadening our views. Also, I have learned a lot from my pen pal about living a healthy life. I think she leads a balanced life, valuing both physical health and mental growth ― she cycles to work, exercises regularly, and likes to go for walks. She often learns new things too, including a foreign language. Her diligence is admirable, and she has inspired me to try new things.
