Place North West | Snow tries again with Warrington site

Neil Tague A developer rebuffed in November with plans for three industrial units on Haydock Street in the town centre has submitted refreshed plans. Snow (North West) intends to build out light industrial or trade counter space on the site of the Haydock Street Business Centre, which was mostly destroyed by fire in 2016. The proposal is for three units totalling 3,346 sq ft The new plans will act as an extension to the site’s remaining building, which is occupied by the Momentum Collective gym. Accessed from John Street, the site’s total size is 12,279 sq ft. The plot sits close to the Halliwell Jones Stadium in what has become a popular area for development in recent years. Applciations to progress include refurbishments such as YP’s hotel scheme at Parr’s Bank on Winwick Street, while larger projects include Iliad’s long-awaited WireWorks.
