The Jim Porter trainee catapulted to the lead in deep stretch, holding off Moments Of Joy and Anytime N for her 4th win of the year. Sassas Sister fanned out wide from third-over position and surged through the stretch to spring the upset. Trae Porter drove the $46.60 winner.
It was the second-straight win on the card at long odds for that same driver-trainer-owner combo, who also won with You Beda Rock ($18.20) in the race prior.
Trainer Clyde Francis, owner George Teague and driver Montrell Teague scored a double with Rowdy Rousey ($10.60) and Dirty Shirley ($16.80).
