main competition as rick perry. the fact that perry spent a lot more time and money and put more focus on winning the straw poland only managed to beat romney by a point and a half, that s a victory. you can see the romney operatives on twitter sending out various dark cloud headlines for perry and things like that. they see this as definitely a positive thing for them. i ll bet. he did manage to pull out a win this morning at the michigan straw poll. he is a michigan native. he talked about his father there. having been the governor. the win there, that a surprise to anybody? look at the margin by which he wins? wow. the margin may be somewhat of a surprise. but the win certainly isn t. romney is definitely a favorite son in michigan. his dad is as popular pop tigs. his mom ran for governor. that will be important for him. it s week before super tuesday. which of course has a bunch of southern states voting that could tilt toward perry. a win in michigan could be good
