His favourite dance style is jazz, but he’s pretty good at ballet as well. He dances everywhere – even in supermarket and Warehouse aisles – and he recently joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet onstage as a page in a production of
Sleeping Beauty.

Manawa Te Wiki, 8, was the only boy from Taranaki selected to dance with the Royal New Zealand Ballet in Palmerston North on its nationwide tour. Manawa was one of three Taranaki dance students who were selected for the show, after a gruelling audition in Palmerston North, followed by six weekend trips down to rehearse.
