July 25, 2021 Last week, we introduced you to a local volunteer firefighter in need of an immediate kidney translate and told you how to donate to the Cody Green Transplant Fundraiser on Facebook. After numerous people asked about making donations some other way than Facebook, a GoFundMe account was created. To donate on GoFundMe, click or tap here. Cody Green and his wife Sarah have a two-year old son. Cody is a Florida Forest Service wildland firefighter, and he is a volunteer firefighter at the Molino Station of Escambia Fire Rescue. Cody suffers from focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), a serious condition in which scar tissue develops in parts of the kidney, and it can lead to full kidney failure.

No Serious Injuries In Highway 97 Wreck : NorthEscambia com

April 21, 2021 There were no serious injuries reported in a two vehicle crash on Highway 97 north of Dogwood Park Tuesday night. The crash happened  about 8 p.m. on Highway 97 near Hendricks Lane, north of White Ash Road.  The front passenger side of a SUV and the side of a passenger sedan collided, sending both vehicles off the roadway. Everyone involved initially refused transport to the hospital, but one person requested that Escambia County EMS return to the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating how the crash occurred. The Molino Station of Escambia Fire Rescue and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
