No shortage in food supply at Sri Penara Apartment JKM 02 Jun 2021 / 17:10 H. - Bernama KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur Social Welfare Department (JKM) has denied the allegations that residents of the Sri Penara Apartment in Cheras, which is currently placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), are running out of food supply. Its director Che Samsuzuki Che Noh said food stocks were adequate and the department was constantly monitoring the food supply for the affected residents. He said each resident representative was provided with a food basket which comprised 10 kg of rice, cooking oil, flour, canned sardines and other necessities that could last up to six or seven days.

KUALA LUMPUR: A man and a Vietnamese woman were arrested yesterday for falsifying a police interstate travel permit at the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) in Salak South here. Cheras police chief ACP Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon said today that the 38-year-old man had attempted to purchase a ticket for a bus ride to Penang for his 41-year-old Vietnamese friend at about 10pm but a ticketing clerk became suspicious of the police travel permit he produced. He said the clerk then took both of them to a nearby police beat at the terminal to verify the permit.

Published on: Saturday, March 13, 2021 By: Bernama Text Size: Kuala Lumpur: A total 330 individuals have been issued compound notices of RM10,000 each to date for flouting the Movement Control Order (MCO) standard operating procedure (SOP) nationwide, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador (pic). “Yes, 330 individuals have been issued with the compound notices for flouting the MCO SOP,” he said when contacted. He said the decision to raise the amount of compound was not to punish offenders excessively or enable the Government to collect money from the public. ADVERTISEMENT He said it was aimed at individuals who repeated the same offences under the MCO SOP such as failure to wear face mask, observe physical distancing and provide temperature scanning facility at premises.
