Moises Martinez, 37, is expected to appear in court Wednesday. It s unclear what charges the suspect will face in connection to the shooting.  He was taken into custody about 9 p.m. Tuesday after an incident near the intersection of Veterans Memorial Drive and Forestburg Drive in north Harris County. Officers were out overnight, and well into the morning, searching the area for more evidence. ATF was out along with K-9 officers, canvassing cars and homes.

By Texas News Desk Jan 27, 2021 A suspect is under arrest in the shooting of a Harris County deputy on Tuesday evening. The shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. when deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person near Veterans Memorial Drive and Forestburg. A man pulled a gun and shot at them, wounding one of the deputies several times. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says deputies arrested 37-year-old Moises Martinez after searching for him for more than three hours. The wounded 35-year-old deputy is in stable condition and is expected to recover.

FAMU Marching ‘100’ Drum Major Kicks Off NCAA National Championship Game Virtual Half Time Show FAMU Marching ‘100’ Drum Major Kicks Off NCAA National Championship Game Virtual Half Time Show      Florida A&M University (FAMU) Marching “100” head drum major Moises Martinez kicked off the Intercollegiate Marching Band virtual half time show during the NCAA National Championship Football Game Monday night. Martinez, a fourth-year environmental studies student from Hollywood, Florida, highlighted his 48-second solo opening performance with the trademark “FAMU Drum Major Nifty” centerstage on an empty Bragg Memorial Stadium field. “My experience felt like no other,” Martinez said. He was excited to get the call from the University of Chicago at Urbana Champagne band director asking him to shoot a video for the performance. He had performed the routine hundreds of times as a Marching “100” drum major, but this time was very different.
