Uniindia: Mumbai, Jan 7 (UNI) A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court awarded 8 years Rigrious Improsenment to two accused who had earlier pleaded guilty of radicalising youth from Mumbai to join the banned terror outfit Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
This is the first instance in Maharashtra where persons accused of having link with the ISIS have pleaded guilty and the Special NIA Court has accepted the same.
A special court on Friday sentenced two youths accused of propagating the Islamic State (ISIS) ideology among local youth in Malad’s Malvani area in 2015, to eight years in prison. The two had pleaded guilty to the charges against them last month.
